Where do I start....
Born in NYC raised in Washington Heights. Lived there for about 12 years (can't really remember). Moved to PR for 6 months... Fun times... Then moved to Bushwick Brooklyn. went to JHS at IS 291. where I pretty much slacked off and got 95s & 100s in classes...just goes to show what our standards are. A couple of uneventful years later passed the Specialized HS exam and ended up in BTHS.Brooklyn Tech HS -
What can I say... I really screwed up my life here.... I could have done so much better but what's done is done... At least I made some good friends.
After I graduated I joined the Army Reserve, stayed there for 3 years before I met Jasmin. We were just meant to meet there I guess... We hung out together at drills, chatted over the phone, went on a date and she still hasn't gone home... so I married her... she's got a great heart. Ironically she happens to be the sister of another Technite, but I didnt know this at the time. Imagine my surprize when I walk in to meet thier family and there's Roz saying "Hi buddy! Dont I know you?".Work...
Well getting paid by the military is fine if you just wanna sit around and relax. but if you wanna have some real fun you have to get a real job. So... after my first date with Jasmin I went and got a job... OK OK OK everyone's told me that UPS is a good company. But no one ever told me working for them is horrible, I had to find out the hard way.
I worked part-time, loading tractor trailers full of boxes in the middle of winter when the temperature is about 2 degrees feels like -40. Loading boxes in trailers in the middle of summer when the temperature is 90+ is actually about 120+ degrees (keep in mind those trailers sit in the sun all day, they're like ovens when you open that door). 12.50 an hour is deffinately not worth it... And then came the promotion to... Training supervisor, well I was supposed to be training, but shit happens... I ended up having to be and Operations Supervisor, I basically run an area about the size of a basketball court and have to tell 7-14 people what to do. (BTW still part-time)
After a total of 7 years in that hell hole I quit...
And along came Paul Winston...Started as a shipper & data entry... which basically meant I made UPS label for boxes we were shipping to customers & tranmitted electronic invoices to some of our customers...
1 year later I get promoted to Supervisor of the Billing dept. Fairly simple just needed to keep records of everything everyone does incase something goes wrong & fix everyone's problems...simple enough... yeah right...
Another year later I get promoted again, (but just in title) now I'm the "Floor Manager" which basically meant if something goes wrong anywhere it's my job to fix it. And so I did... hell it was fun, I always loved a good challenge especially any analytical ones...
And finally 8 months later another promotion to Billing & Shipping Manager... Damn i move fast... lolPersonally I think of myself as an emotionally detached analitical prick, but my wife says otherwise...but hey who am i to judge... wait ...nvm lol
