Hannah Macklin believes that each song should conjure its own little world, and exist only within that world. Sharing songs with an audience becomes an invitation into a place you've never been; the imagination runs wild with oddball lyrics about fish-eyed pirates, internet-savvy dinosaurs, humans in the post and headstrong baby birds. These words are dictated by Macklin's 'dexterous set of vocal cords' (Rave Magazine, 2008) carving out a road-less-travelled in songwriting land.

Hannah Macklin & The Teapotter Party
Hannah Macklin & The Teapotter Party combine hip-hop, soul, and rock, played with a pop sensibility and jazz improvisation. The band of extreme cross-genre musicians lay down the grungiest grooves, which make rockin' beds of sound for Macklin's impeccable vocals. Pretty meets gritty. Daydreaming gets down.
Macklin/Newcomb Duo
Hannah Macklin and Steve Newcomb, "two of the states top emerging jazz performers" (Courier Mail, September 2008), form a collaborative duo, playing music they love... be it jazz, soul, modern pop, their own or each other's. With an emphasis on new sounds, lyrical intent and playful interaction, this new musical venture seeks to create something removed from reality and inspired by constant curiousity...
"A taste of top-class jazz" (Courier Mail, September 2008).
