At only twenty years young Epic has stirred up a tremendous buzz in the music industry with the release of his classic mix tapes “Rude Awakening†in August 2007 , “The Calm Before The Storm†in June 2008,and the release of his independent album ’Ready Or Not†in February 2009 which all combined have moved close to 10,000 units in his region and online!
He was a member of the 2007 School Tour in which he performed at close to twenty high schools and junior high schools in the Los Angeles area and he has also helped build a buzz by performing at various venues including The Roxy in Hollywood, The Celebrity Center in Los Angeles, and The Knitting Factory in Hollywood just to name a few.
“When most people hear about a rapper from Southern California they automatically think of L.A. but there’s so much more to So Cal then just that.†says Epic. Epic hails from a large region known as the Inland Empire(I.E.) in which a rapidly growing population has led to more residential, commercial, and industrial development in this rural 'intermediate' area east of LA and Orange County, and north of San Diego County. With a population of over 4 million people, the Inland Empire is the 14th largest metropolitan area in the United States.
In January 2008 Epic was awarded the best hip hop artist award in the I.E. at the 4th annual Inland Empire Music Awards in which he beat out 4 other very well known and talented artists. Epic was also the first ever winner of the hip hop award at the ceremony so this young talent is already making history!
Epic has also been featured in various newspaper articles, magazines such as Hip Hop Weekly where he was featured as ‘Unsigned Hype†, and also numerous websites .
With a solid music foundation, and an increasingly growing fan base, Epic is well on his way to becoming the voice of hip hops next generation. Epic is undeniably one of the most unique emcees to enter the game in quite some time, ultimately the reason why hip hops future is firmly in tact.
