About Me

PRESS RELEASEDON STREAT THEORYRELEASE: 20 MARCH 07Hip-hop has exploded on the blacktop again. Cyrus has hit the streets again with his heartfelt and personal chronicle the Don Streat Theory. With an abundance of street gems you can rock in either in your Bent GT or your Hooptie Cyrus wants you to feel his pain. Whether it’s the untimely death of his cousin, his daughter with heart issues, or his struggles as an unsigned indie artist Cyrus brings it to his listeners face. The Don Streat Theory boast productions from Doc Fraud from G-city the Netherlands, Rik Marvel (skillz), Ditcher Productions (Third Kind), Decap, and Mphazes (Ken Starr, Supastition, and Strange Fruit Project). Becoming a rising star fast in the underground as well as overseas Cyrus is sure to get the attention of the hip-hop purist with a collective of braggadocios joints, stories, and music who gives a uncanny description of what he was, who he strives to be, and who he is. So without further Delay it’s the Don streat Theory Bang.Cyrus has been deep rooted in music for years so for those that know what he is about it comes as no surprise what his latest Banger has to offer. Releasing records in 94 with his now defunct group Infinite Description Cyrus was the co-founder of the group recording songs with Jay Funk, Fusion Unlimited(ABB Records) and others. The group would be courted by numerous labels but none with the right deal. The group fell apart following this and Cyrus would go on to release some 12”s as well as a compilation about with funds benefiting his sick daughter where he called on many of the undergrounds heavy weights MF Grimm among them. Dj Craig Rip orchestrated many of the compilations sonic backdrops earning him opportunities to work with MF Grimm, Master Ace, and Wordsworth. This Compilation became a milestone in Cyrus’s Indie Career creating opportunities with a massive amount of producers across Europe. The Don Streat Theory started as A project for commercial release and has turned itself into a mammoth mixtape with some of hip-hop’s finest producers hitting the boards. The Don Streat Theory is available and ready to take the world by storm indie or mainstream, because Cyrus has a vision to make music, as it once was uncategorized. Good music is good music and shouldn’t be labeled. So holla at your boy and find out what all the hype is about. The fact is the hype is real and its what I call The Don Streat Theory.
