I will never own a microwave oven. Any cooking should be done well and microwaves, while speedy, consistently produce sub-par cuisine. Popcorn should be made in a wok with oil and (if it's your thing) real butter, not in a paper bag set on "High" so that the corn tastes and smells strongly of cooked paper. Also, if you're budget conscious, a bag of popcorn kernels is cheaper than a box of three or four bags of microwave popcorn chock full of fake butter and dozens of unnatural ingredients. If you do not own a toaster oven, buy one. A toaster oven is ideal for cooking small amounts of food. My toaster oven provides me with hot, moist, and delicious chocolate chip cookies almost every day. All I have to do is be patient, which I already am.
