Ottawa-based band delivering hard driving blues to rave reviews in clubs and private parties including the Black Sheep Inn and the Rainbow.
Originally called BluBop (with daughter Lien on drums) and then having merged for a year with the Alligator Playboys (with Claude "CajunMan" Lachaîne) the nucleus of Peter X and Verna Lindstrom is now restructured as the Peter X Band along with drummer Armand Vienneau and with the occasional collaboration of Pianist/singer/songwriter Michel Bessette. Their music is energetic and somewhat against the grain, certainly leaving no one indifferent.
Peter X
Guitar, lead vocals
Singer-songwriter and guitarist, Peter X was playing the blues and paying the dues long before blues was as popular in Quebec and across Canada as it is today. Originally from the Eastern Townships, he now resides in the Ottawa region. He enjoys recounting stories of being thrown out of clubs in the 70's for not playing enough disco when most of his repertoire was comprised of hard rock and blues.
Peter X's long musical career has seen him perform on stages across Canada and the US. He is an experienced studio musician and has supported many well-known canadian artists. He also produces his own recordings and pens music and lyrics for other performers and for documentary films.
His musical influences include Jeff Beck, Derek Trucks, Billy Gibbons, Roy Buchanan, Dr. John, Edgar and Johnny Winter.

More recently, Verna has toured with Pierre Tremblay throughout Quebec, Ontario and Florida.Armand Vienneau
Drums, vocals
When he was 13 a drum and bugle corps started in his neighborhood and he was attracted to the drumline.
He became fascinated by the speed and precision of rudimental drumming and played snare for the next 4 years.
In 1970 he won the provincial individual competition. In the 1980-1995 period Armand joined a number of pop-rock-country bands in the Ottawa-Gatineau area. Today he plays with the rock-fusion band 30YRSL8 and the Ottawa heritage hands drum club which consists of old drumming buddies from the drum corps period. His more recent projects with the Alligator Playboys and the Peter X Band give him the chance to express his wide range of styles and musicality that only 35 years of playing can give.
