Vedda was born February 13th 1978 in La Paz, Bolivia. His early music influences consisted mainly of the melodious sounds percussion based Andean tribal music. At the age of 12 he became fascinated with the funky base lines and hard hitting kick drums used in electronic music. By 15 he attended raves on a regular basis in an effort to absorb as much of the DJ and house music culture as possible. Four years later he purchased his first set of turntables and spent every waking hour between school and work (sometimes sacrificing sleep) practicing to become one of the foremost house DJ's in the city by the bay. Now, he incorporates his childhood love of Andean music with the deep, funky baselines produced in house music, with a zest for beats unlike any other, into an eclectic mix of funky yet remarkably sexy tribal music. Vedda has played with such San Francisco greats as Jeno, Garth, Simon David Harness, the In House Crew, Rick Preston, Oliver Desmet, Sensei, Ellen Feratto, JT Donaldson and Lance Desardi and many others.
