I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm a single professional woman living and working in Southeastern Michigan. I live on my own with my two dogs... Rogue, a 4 year female Rottweiler and Thor, a 2 year old male Bull Terrier. I have a very busy career as a Corporate Accountant that I love... though it does tend to take up more of my time than I like. Staying active outside of work is the name of the game for me... anything from working out at the gym, to yoga class, to shooting darts in two local leagues.
I invite you to read my blog. You will learn more about me with 5-10 minutes of reading than you will in 5-10 emails with me. It may also save you some time, as if you don't agree with or share some of my views, we probably won't get along very well.
I'm here to meet people and hopefully make some new friends. I am single and very happy being single. I am interested in dating, but I am being very particular and am in no rush.
I try to answer emails in a timely fashion from those who I feel I have some thing in common. My time is fairly limited so you may not get a response right away. I will reply as soon as I can... all I ask is for a little patience. :)
I've been receiving quite a few inquiries on which breeder I got my Bull Terrier from, so here's the link to their site:
http://backwoods-bullterriers.faithweb.com/index.html
Paul and Cindy are great people and truly care about their dogs, maintaining the breed and the homes their puppies go to. I would recommend them over any other breeder and I researched quite a few before I picked them.

My Interests

Sports... especially Pro and College Football, Movies... comedies are my favorite, participating in sports, music... I couldn't live without my .mp3 collection and always looking for more fun things to do.

I'd like to meet:

Practically anyone!!! I'm on here to meet new people and make friends... all are welcome to apply!! Everyone has a story... so what's yours? There are a lot of things I haven't done or seen. Finding people to open up new ideas, experiences or interests to me is always welcome.

I do have some criteria for communication:

1. If it's not something you would say to someone in person, don't send it in an email either... it's just rude. I appreciate compliments but appreciate tactful communication more.

2. You're on a keyboard, not texting or in a chat room, write out the words, please! I'm not asking for a doctoral thesis but a little substance is greatly appreciated. Syntax and semantics... along with good grammer is a bonus too!

3. In this day and age, there is no reason for not having a photo posted on your page... and not just a photo of someone or something you think is cool. This isn't alt.com or AdultFriendFinder... posting a photo of yourself isn't going to draw suspicion from friends and co-workers... unless you are doing something on here to that you shouldn't be.

4. If you're the prurient type, don't bother... I'm only going to delete the message anyway.

I will accept almost every invitation I receive, only if we have some communication first. I'm not trying to win a popularity contest; connecting with people, making friends and finding people who share common interests is my reason for being here.

Music:

I get into almost any kind of music... NO country!!! My personal favorites: Linkin Park (obviously), love 80's alternative (The Cure, The Smiths and the like), 70's funk is great (yes, Issac Hayes did have a music career before South Park), Hip Hop and like genres are perfect workout tunes and HafLif because Rambeaux and the Band has it goin' on!

Movies:

Comedies are the first choice but I can get into just about anything as long as it's well written and well acted. I have a few favorites which I highly recommend: Idiocracy, Children of Men, Office Space, most of Kevin Smith's movies and the movies from the Broken Lizard gang!

Television:

I'm not much for broadcast TV... but I will watch Comedy Central and I watch a few of the HBO series... Deadwood and Big Love are awesome!

Books:

When I do have the opportunity to read, it's usually educational. Currently reading two programming language books.

Heroes:

The men and women who risk their lives every day to keep us safe!! Thank you!!!

Question From The Dark Side

I unfortunately like many others, get WAY entirely too much spam email.  While I have a pretty efficient spam filter, I still seem to see more than my fair share.  But, I do find some degree...

Idiocracy

The name idiocracy comes from a movie put out by Mike Judge (yes, the creator of Beavis and Butthead).  If you've seen the movie... go ahead and skip the next few lines if you like.  The pre...
