Written by Dave the BraveA Man of Responsibilities PressuresI got thoughts of revolution,But not enough questions to form solutions,Not enough sight to win a fight in this war that has begun,Not enough anger to kill because I am ready to chill,With that Lex those diamonds, penthouse, and baked salmon,The struggle is not alive in my soul,Cause I have received more than my share of candy and gold,As ghettoes continue to rust, and mounting pressures constantly are thrust on the uneducated,The unpredicted, the unjustifiable people of the land,Calling me part of the” talented tenth”,It seems like, I’ve just spent my life doing what is perceived as right,Doing stuff to keep me off of corners,The things to keep my family and friends from becoming mourners,I can’t find a path like Sojourner,Not the Public’s Enemy, But instead my peoples failure in success,My peoples shining star with no light, not burning a path to followInstead destroying the path I followed,Shallow are my thoughts,I have fallen into what has been learned but not taught,Caught in the rapture, Thought we had freed capture.
