About Me

It can honestly be said that Brad Gardner has always only had one true love in his life, that being his love of music. He starting taking lessons and playing guitar at the age of seven. Fifteen years later after playing, writing, and teaching guitar 5 hours a day Brad is ready to introduce his new project, The Good Luck Foundation to the Canadian Music Scene.Jimi Hendrix and the Beatles inspired Brad to become a rock musician while Jeff Buckley, Coldplay and Radiohead have rounded out those early influences. Over the past two years Brad discovered the very inspiring music scene in Denmark and has closely followed the evolution of Danish bands such as Kashmir, Under Byen and Mew. While Brad’s primary instrument is guitar he also plays keyboards, bass and is a competent drummer. This working knowledge of the principal instruments in a rock band has helped Brad perfect his writing and arranging skills.Brad had a brief stint with a band called Epic in late 2003 then became the lead singer and a guitarist for Breaking Day, a local rock band that played the Toronto club scene in 2004. While with Breaking Day, Brad met Ross Munro, who has been an entertainment lawyer for groups such as Triumph and Kim Mitchell and also managed successful rock group The Gandharvas. Ross recognized Brad’s talent and quickly took him under his wing. Under Ross’s guidance Brad took the next three years to teach, write, “find his own unique sound” and perfect his craft. As a result, Brad has recently formed The Good Luck Foundation. The band is the culmination of his three-year musical journey and is already receiving considerable interest from industry insiders. This first album features Brad on vocals & guitar/ synth, Adam Michael (The Next Best Thing) on guitar and back-up vocals, Steve Skingley (bass player for Rik Emmett and Suzie McNeil) on bass and George Donoso III (drummer for recording stars The Dears & Black Diamond Bay) on drums. This group of established musicians recognized Brad’s talent as a singer songwriter and have come together with Brad to record his first CD which is sure to turn heads throughout the industry. Please visit www.myspace.com/Bradgardner for further details.
