I started playing Guitar at the age of 10 when my family inherited a guitar from a relative. Having two older brothers, I had to wait until the novelty had worn off before I got a look in. This only took a few weeks a they were more interested in air guitaring with T squares & tennis racquets to Status Quo, Deep Purple, Zepplin etc.
As I was not a great sportsman, I spent most afternoons & weekends in the bedroom with the portable record player, scribing new grooves into the vinyl as you did in those days when trying to learn songs. At 15 I joined the school band which was pretty damn tragic but there were a couple of other guitarists & the drummer that had a clue, so we formed our own little ensemble. The problem we had was, we had three guitarists. I drew the short straw. Enter the bass player.
A professional musician for over 20 years. Bands I have played with over the years include Dragon, Angry Anderson, Navahodads, Stormy Monday, Junkyard Dogs, The out of Towners, Louie Shelton & Steve Gibson to name a few. Two of my original projects were Bleutongue & Firetree. For the last 8 years or so I have been doing the cover circuit in Sydney. I have worked and lived in the US (mainly in Nashville although did the road trip thing through most of the states) and in the UK where I ran a pub in the East End of London. I am presently writing songs for the album I've been threatening to do for the past 10 years or so.
