Right now, I'm getting a lot of interest in our film, "Mi Amigo," and the way it got made.....plus how we selected the actors for it, like Josh Holloway. But.......... there's a bunch more to the story. Songwriting and film have always fascinated me, and getting to write songs for recording artists was my first goal. TV and movie work came later. After that, it was, "hmmmm.........I wonder if I can make an indie film???" Not just a film, but one that I'll be proud of. Tall order, when I didn't have a Hollywood budget or access. Still, I'd been doing this for enough years that I could ask for some help. The songs for the "Mi Amigo" soundtrack didn't exist (except for the title song, and that's another story), so they had to be written. I got some good help here, too. Maybe the most fortunate thing to happen was landing on Josh Holloway before he got famous playing "Sawyer" on "Lost." While Josh is prominent in the first third of our film, I don't want to short the other actors. I got class performances, even though it was a low budget film.
