I'm a PhD stduent at Simon Fraser University in Surrey, BC. Before moving to Vancouver, I lived in Atlanta,Georgia where I attended Georgia Tech. Before that I lived in Denver, CO which is where I grew up and spent my formative years. (Which means "got into a lot of trouble".)I'm into college/indie music, creative endeavors like oil painting and making interactive sculpture. I used to make films, but that got too expensive. (Yes, real film. 16mm) I do have a MiniDV cam but it's not the same thing at all. I also like to go cycling (and just did an overhaul on my bicycle to make it more conducive to commuting), dancing, seeing live music, eating out at good restaurants, playing in the park when it gets warm, going on road trips, playing guitar when I get the chance, and watching movies (preferably not bad hollywood ones). I have a cat. So I guess that makes me a "cat person", but I really like dogs too. I don't have one because they are so much more work. (And right now I certainly don't need any more of that.) I really get along with people who are quirky and creative. That doesn't mean crazy. I guess I really don't come across as all that strange, but I think I've just gotten good at hiding it so that I don't get stared at all the time. So I'm in grad school trying to do something productive and grown up with my life, when really I want to be Indiana Jones. Once I get my PhD I plan on becoming a professor so that like Indy, I too can go on daring adventures. I guess I'll just have to wait and see how that one works out. I think of myself as a very creative person, but I have been wrong about such things before.
