to put it simply, im a musician living in germany. According to vedic astrology I am a Leo Ascendant, with Mars and Venus in the first house. Leo is a fire sign, and Mars is a fire planet, and the combination makes me ambitious, active, a "go-getter". However, Venus is there too and Venus likes it comfortable and pleasant, so it softens the intensity of all that fire a lot, and turns that ambitions toward preducing beautiful things. For a Leo, these 2 planets are excellent for success. Venus rules the 10th house for Leo, the house of success/profession. Mars rules the 9th house, the house of higher learning. When they combine, it gives a higher purpose to the profession, and an ever progressing career. Their placement in the 1st house, representing your life as a whole, causes theit influence to effect my life very directly. The ruler of Leo is the Sun, so the Sun becomes the ruler of the 1st house, the ruler of my life. I am like the Sun, powerful and attention seeking. But the Sun is in Libra where it is not so expressed, which causes my ego to sometimes feel not so strong and confident. i may experience two sides of myself: the side that is very strong as long as I can stay active with something (Mars+Leo), but also moment where my self esteem is low( because the Sun is weak in Libra.) Somewhere deep inside myself i may doubt if I am worth the success.The Sun is with Saturn which is a very serious planet. Unlike the Sun, Saturn is extremely strong in Libra, and adds a lot of support to the Sun. Saturn represents routine, responsibilities, foundation work, and for Leos, the partner. So all of that fortifies my self-esteem and through that, my well being. In other words, my powerful ability to work on and stick with the foundation of things becomes a platform for my confidence (sun), which in turn allows me to act and achieve (Mars), and to enjoy my life (venus). my partner is represented by both Saturn and Venus, which are both strongly conencted to the 1st house. That means that my partner will always play a very important role in my life.Sun, Saturn and Mercury are all in the 3rd house, the house of courage, exploration, communication and publishing. Venus rules the 3rd house and is in the 1st. So the 1st and 3rd house are strongly intertwined which means that my life is deeply connected to exploring, communicating, taking on challenges. The 4th house represent the home, mind, heart and feelings. Jupiter is there with Ketu (Ketu is the point where the Moon crosses the ecliptic). That's a very spiritual combination, and it draws my heart to spiritual values. i literally feel at home with knowledge (jupiter) that is deep and unfathomable (Ketu). Ketu represents anything that is sudden and unusual, and in the 4th house can give me unusual mental experiences. Jupiter also rules the 8th house, the house of transformations. It connects the 8th house to the 4th house, and thus brings ever ongoing transformations to my home situation. my discomfort of living with family comes from that, and i will very likely keep shifting your place from time to time. the stability in my life will come from where I am going, not where I am living. However, this combination in the 4th is pretty much unrelated to the other planets, so I see that this mental attraction to spiritual wisdom does not get too mixed up with the earlier mentioned things. It is kind of an independant aspect of myself. The Moon is also very important, and is in Gemini in the 11th house (income, friends). The Moon is very outgoing in Gemini, and loves to socialise and communicate about ideas. The Moon also represents my mind, and the 11th represents gains, so i can say that a lot of my thoughts are about getting things, whether it is money or getting whatever is fulfilling at the time. The Sun, Moon and Mercury are the planets representing intellect, mind, and logic, and all are in air signs. Air signs are associated with thought and philosophy. This makes me a thinker, eventhough the strong influence of Saturn can also make me a slow learner with certain things. Leo with Mars and Venus makes me also a "doer". Finally, the 10th house (career) has Rahu in it (Rahu is the other point where the Moon crossed the ecliptioc). Rahu is extremely wilful and passionate in nature, and the placement in the 10th house provides a great outlet for that energy. Rahu will drive me hard to dothe difficult and to achieve things. i set high and difficult for myself, i am only really happy when i can do it well, while the task was difficult. Yet, i also like when things come easy to me (Moon in the 11th). This is according to vedic astrology which is different from western astrology because there is a difference of 23 degrees.
