.. So, who be ............. Hellyes? In a secluded and picturesque corner of Southern Poland lies ........... Saraswati ................ "Sarah What?" We hear you utter.... Saraswati ! We mumble back, an ex-German hunting lodge and currently a cracking hotel, that, in late August 2006 was the birthplace and labratory of ...... Hellyes!Hellyes, a gathering of ideas, sounds, mirth and beer, combined with the aim of creating a little something reflective of a perspective, shared by all who were there. Fired by the vocal, guitar and songwriting arts of Zac (Ocho, U.S.), the bass, bass and double bass of Raj (Neanderthal Alien, POL/U.S.), the drums and air manipulation of Bernt "YAR"(Neanderthal Alien, GER/NL), the oboe and vocals of Camilla "Cheezus Raj!"(POL), the Slide of Clive (or Dave?) (Luther little and the Warmth, U.K.) and under the wings, words and direction of Joshua Hartzog "I wannit Oklahoma loud!" (U.S.), they set about their week long campaign in Southern Poland. After a few hours of Zebrovka (sp?) fired rehearsals (rehearsal = more proffesional than a practice!), Hellyes took off into the hills ...... eating, drinking and drinking their way through a series of gigs and saunas.Sadly ending back at Saraswati with a beautifully cooked mushroom supper a few days later.Meeting again for a midwest tour in fall 2006, recordings were started and finished in New York in 2007.Poland is again on the horizon, set for summer 2007.
