The Creeks are one of Britains best upcoming bands on the scene, With air time on radio, reviews in music magazines and national newspapers, The Creeks are heading in the right direction. Keep your ears and eye's open and you may get to join the band on their journey!
With the Husky Vocals and grungy strokes on his guitar, frontman Ste Pye sets scenes of the world we live in today, and what we should do to make this world a more positive place to exist in. Guitarist Gaz Sefton keeps the rhythm alive and his licks can get buried into even the hardest of heads, Shaneen Dawkins dishes out the funky basslines that gets even the most planted feet tapping! John Evans (aka Jon B.W) hits the sticks like there is no tomorrow!
In the old days, People would listen to music for what it was, Music! Nowadays everyone is obessesed by million dollar music videos, (that have no relevance to the meaning of the track itself!) the fashion, the dancing and how attractive the singer is! The Creeks formed because we were all too sick of this world where artists arent people, they are products, franchises. So, we write, we play, we record, we dont sit and think about what matching outfits could we wear, or how to have our hair, or if we should have neon lights flashing on certain parts of the song, No! We concentrate on the music, we use what resourses we have and we work and concentrate soley on the music. It may not be cool, it may not be hip, but all we ask is that you listen to the music, feel the music!
The Creeks have many tracks, most of which cannot be placed in the same genres, from soft accoustic soul, to the Heavy Metal (not including Electronica, yet!) The Creeks have it all!!(apart from the electronica, obviously)
2009
In 2009, The Creeks are settling down and recording their first Studio Album, Hopefully to be released in the Autumn. So gigs shouldnt be as hectic as they are usually for a while, but there will be small venue gigs to practice new material along the way. The Creeks will be touring in the Autumn.
