About Me

Levi Levy a.k.a. Jeffaton, born in Kingston on April 9, 1975, started performing at the age of 4 at Sunday School. Having spent much time with his grandmother who was a Sunday School Teacher, attending Church was a must for her family due to her strong faith in God.Whenever there was a concert at Sunday School, Jeffaton would always put down his name for a performance. His idol was Michael Jackson at that time and he was always imitating his dance moves. He would also dress like Jackson when attending Sunday School. After outgrowing Jackson, he started emulating Pappa Levi and his song (Mi God, Mi King). He like the message of Pappa Levi was putting across. Bob Marley and Capleton also inspired him.During his time at Secondary School, (Donald Quarrie), he performed at every concert that was put on by the school. He also appeared on Rappin a program for youths on KBC Television (now TVJ). After leaving secondary school, he wanted to make a career out of music, so he started visiting Arrows Recording Studio. Things were tough for the first few years but he was determined, so he started doing Dub plates for sound systems both locally and international. He became very close to other DJs such as Power Man, Bounty Killa, Sizzla, Beeni Man and others. Power Man was very encouraging and supportive of his efforts in the music business. After doing Dub Plates for a few sound systems such as Zodiac, Mr. Leopold Hall, Manager of Zodiac Sound System became interested in him because of his talent and creativity as a DJ and decided to act as his manager. Together they released two (2) singles Gal pon Mi Avenue and Remix my Riches. In 2000, Jeffaton met at Arrows Recording Studio, International Reggae Sound Operator, Allan Finkel a.k.a. Asha Selecta who was so impressed with his talent that he invited him to his base in Switzerland to do a couple of shows. On May 18, 2000 Jeffaton traveled to Switzerland to open a show for Grammy Nominated Ky-Mani Marley and close two shows featuring internationally acclaimed reggae artist Prince Allah.Jeffatons outstanding performance led to his being invited again to Switzerland on November 23, 2001 to open for popular DJ Anthony B and Ossie Gad. He also did other shows in Switzerland, which featured Jeffaton in Concert with the popular sound System Positive Airline with Asha Selecta. These shows saw Jeffaton establishing himself as a popular artist in Europe as he got raving reviews in the local press. On his Return to Jamaica in December 2001, Jeffaton was featured in the Jamaican Star Newspaper for his performances in Switzerland. In the last five years, Jeffaton has been focusing on the local Jamaican scene doing live shows with Capleton and Recording. He is currently in Switzerland recording his new album and preparing for the European Reggae Festivals in the Summer.Get Your Own! | View Slideshow
