Mick Hanna is a singer songwriter like no other. Combining folk, country and even a rock opera, along with his onstage antics, makes every live show a memorable one. Armed with a rich, emotive voice and songs crafted from three years solid gigging in London and Melbourne. Mick and his band are hitting their straps in their hometown.
Mick had his first taste of performing with the rock band Filthy Fox formed with school mates and the Jubilation vocal group, supporting the likes of Jade Macrae, Evermore (MTV Awards) and Alex Lloyd. Mick has spent the last two years in London as part of the folk rock outfit "Deadmans Caravan". Combining with Rob Draper (ex-Neighbours) they built a following playing London's acoustic venues including a residency at the infamous 12 Bar Club in Soho. He has also supported the likes of Bob Cheevers (USA), James Reyne, Mahalia Barnes and Brian Campeau.
Moving back to Sydney in 2008 Mick is about to release his second EP recorded in Melbourne with Rob Draper at Ross Ryan Studios (I Am Pegasus - EMI).
‘Mick Hanna is an Australian singer songwriter who effortlessly moves between rock, ballads and country. His two country duets with Annie Evershed were a joy, as was his hilarious expose of an Australian musical icon in the song Come Say G‘day.’Peter Coulston - Seatwave Entertainment Review, LONDON.
"Mick enamoured the audience with his music... the performance left a smile on everyone’s face, giving us music that was very different... in a very good way." Sheshtyn De Souza, Music Feeds.
