About Me

I was born in Osaka, Japan many years ago. My family moved to Queens, New York when I was nine years old. I could not speak a word of English at first, but I worked hard to attain native fluency, and I passed the competitive entrance exam for Stuyvesant High School, and then went on to Grinnell College in Iowa, where I majored in economics and mathematics. After college, I worked in the restaurant business where I met a waitress who was also an aspiring actress, and she encouraged me to go into show business. I got some photos together, took some classes at the Weist-Barron Academy of TV Acting and also at HB Studios. I soon signed with Jadin Wong Talent Management and began going on auditions. I've appeared on many films, TV shows, and TV commercials as a background extra as well as a few in principal roles. My last role in film was Tetsu Yamamoto in the Merchant/Ivory film "Slaves of New York". I've also performed stand-up comedy at the Eagle Tavern, Kelly's, and the Ye Olde Triple Inn in NYC.My show biz career came to an end when I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. I had seven surgeries during a 2-year period, and suffered some damages to the right side of my face. I taught math at Brandeis High School in NYC briefly but decided to move to Los Angeles in 1996.Since coming to California, I have published numerous articles in bodybuilding magazines, and I have reached a point in my study of the Chinese exercise of Chi Kung (which I had began in 1987) where I can generate palpable eletromagnetic energy with my hands that can be felt without touching. I direct that energy toward a person with an illness or injury to aid in the healing process. I have been very successful especially in treating bone fractures. I've also began teaching Chi Kung privately, and my first student, Jason, recently won his first professional mixed martial arts fight.
