To All of Our Sisters and Brothers of The Triad: FireWater Creations proudly announces the coming of a new publication to our area. This publication is for us, about us and by us. As of now this publication is published and distributed in about 15 US cities with Greensboro being the next. What is it? AMPS Magazine!!! AMPS Magazine is coming to The Triad. AMPS stands for African-AMerican People Succeeding and that’s what the magazine is about. AMPS is a national magazine based in Shreveport, Louisiana and franchised in cities such as Houston, Dallas, Indianapolis and Kansas City, to name a few. AMPS caters to all age groups. The format of the content is the same in all cities. That format is Business and Political issues at the front, next comes Religion, and after that comes Social topics. The format continues with Women and Weddings, next is Youth and their concerns and needs, after that we cover Concerts and Events, the format is then rounded off with Music and Entertainment. There’s something for the entire family. AMPS will cover each of these topics in every edition with short and direct, but informative and fulfilling articles along with high resolution, vibrant photos. AMPS is a full color publication covering local talents and endeavors as if they were national, and AMPS is distributed bi-monthly for free. FireWater Creations, owned and operated by Jeff Crosby of ScorpioSoul Designs and ThemFive and Kevin Goins of BlueFlame Promotions and ThemFive, would like to extend the opportunity to all aspiring writers looking to be published. AMPS is a full color, free magazine that will be seen by no less than 10,000 people. As a start-up publication, it is impossible for us to pay for submissions at this time but the writer will receive ample exposure with photo included and the publishing of your work in a national magazine will be attractive as an entry on resumes. All submissions should be no more than 1000 words and e-mailed to [email protected] . Note: Due to space constraints, the editors may be required to select a few submissions from many. All submissions may not be published. All writers whose entries will make it to print will be contacted by e-mail and asked to sign a waiver form allowing AMPS Greensboro to use the submission, prior to publishing.
