Torturing the fiddle (as well as anyone within earshot), play some piano, plunking the mandolin, sing a song if I'm asked to, create some original music whenever it seeps through the void (rare) - usually those come through in dreams. Drawing, painting, making a mess. Hanging out with family, good friends and my animals. Have always loved being around horses, but consider myself "retired" from them (for the time being!), enjoy watching the birds and wildlife that happen to stop by my house for a rest,
Geneology & family history, AmRev War/Civil War/WWII history, Scottish/Irish heritage, history, folklore, as well as their significant influence on American history and culture. Being involved with my son's interests and doing stuff with him (keeps us close ya know). Writing now & then. Keeping in touch with friends near & far, old & new, keeping in touch with my late father's WWII buddies from the 2nd Marine Division Association. Networking & goofing off on the computer. Live a pretty conservative life but do like to kick up our heels and let our hair down once in awhile. Family, friends, good food, good conversation, good laughs - make for good memories, and a pretty good life.

I'd like to meet:
My ancestors. Most of them anyway. Like to let them know they "done good". Would love to sit and talk about how things were in their world, though I'm not sure they'd be at all pleased with how things are in ours. Except maybe indoor plumbing, hot & cold running water, and the ability to travel in a day a distance that would have taken them months. :)
I have a close relationship with God and His Son. We'll meet one day. I do have questions...and I want to tell them, "Thank You".
Music:
I enjoy most all kinds of music. Depends on my mood really - or what sort of mood I'd LIKE to be in. My favorite musicians would have to be my brother, who I just about idolize. He is undoubtedly one of the finest guitarists this side of the Mississippi and I have yet to hear another quite like him (he'd never admit that!). Also my budding musician of a son, who is a quick study and very focused. If there's something he wants to learn to play, he'll sit down with his guitar and in just a few minutes (sometimes less than ONE minute!) he's GOT IT. It would be impossible to name every single song, band, or artist on this page. I'll just have to put 'em down as I think of them. You'll see just a few of 'em right over there.
Your Dominant Intelligence is Musical Intelligence
Every part of your life has a beat, and you're often tapping your fingers or toes.
You enjoy sounds of all types, but you also find sound can distract you at the wrong time.
You are probably a gifted musician of some sort - even if you haven't realized it.
Also a music lover, you tend to appreciate artists of all kinds.
You would make a great musician, disc jockey, singer, or composer.
What Kind of Intelligence Do You Have?
Movies:
Don't get me started! There are just too many. In a nutshell: Those that make me laugh out loud. Those that make me cry buckets. Those that make me think. Those that give me a glimpse into another place, time, world, or put me in another person's shoes.
Television:
Don't watch it very much, there's too many other things I'd rather be doing. If I do it's usually Discovery, History, Nat'l Geographic, TLC...and some of the Home/Garden shows, unless I can catch a good movie.
Heroes:
God. His Son. Can't get through the day without them. My late father, my family, my son, nieces, nephews...I love you all so much, you are a gift and a blessing. You are my support and strength. The police officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, my fellow dispatchers - those I've worked with, and those around the world - hats off to you - I love ya'll - maybe I'll return to "the fold" one day! The men and women serving our country. Every day folks - who give of themselves selflessly to help another who may be need. If we could all try to make a positive difference in even one person's life - maybe a neighbor, or the little lady up the road. Check on them often, as they may need a hand, and just not know how to ask for it, or be too timid to ask. My immigrant & early American ancestors for having the courage, faith, and fortitude to go out on a limb and take a chance. (If I only had an ounce of that gumption!) To those ancestors I say, "Thank You. You are in me, your blood runs thick in my veins, and I know you are there. I am YOU."
