One solo artist trying to get his music heard. Guitarist, bassist and singer Taylor Van Zant is a new artist with new ideas. His songs are a combo of acoustic styled songs mixed with some new aged experimental and alternative styles. His main influences are Radiohead, Coldplay, The Beatles, Audioslave and Aqualung plus also a couple unknowns being his friends Patrick Snape of Vulpes Music and Max Konyi of Van Paul and The Forever Red. Taylor, the singer and bassist of Van Paul and The Forever Red decided to branch off in hopes of trying different styles that reflect his own unique tastse in music. This solo artist is now joined by new members to form to the full band of Vacancy Claim. Taylor Van Zant ,still lead vocalist as well as bassist and song writer for the band, is now acompanied by Alex Wan, Will Arthur, and Nate Konyi.
Alex Wan a former member of Chemical Dream has now joined Vacancy Claim as lead guitarist and backing vocals. One of Alex's biggests influences is Dallas Green and he will be adding his own unique style to the amazing band that is Vacancy Claim.
Will Arthur, another former member of Van Paul and The Forever Red has now added his Coldplay/ Radiohead style of writing and playing to Vacancy Claim by being the rhythm guitarist as well as backing vocalist.
Nate Konyi, former drummer from Van Paul and the Forever Red, as well as borther to the extrodinary guitarist Max Konyi has now become the official drummer for Vacancy Claim. This drummer is not only the youngest in the band but aslo has a very different style from the rest of the band with influences by Rush and classic rock bands he adds a unique sound to the band.
