EMPTINESS IS OUR BUSINESS
gb3 features Glenn Bennie, a driving force behind undergroundLOVERS, one of Australia's most innovative bands of the '90s.
gb3 is predominantly a recording project involving Glenn Bennie, Recording Engineeer Tim Prince, and core band members, Maurice Argiro, Andrew Nunns, Graham Lee, Robert Tickner and Philippa Nihill. A growing list of assorted guests join the band in the studio and for rare live appearances.
On the most recent gb3 album, 'emptiness is our business', the collaborators were a mix of Glenn's musical heroes (including Steve Kilbey and the late-great Grant McLennan) and the hottest new stars in Australian independent music (including Sarah Blasko and Sianna from Love Outside Andromeda).
It's the second gb3 album, following 2003's 'circlework'.
A new gb3 album (Damaged/Controlled) is currently being recorded. The first guests to pop into the studio have been Ricky Maymi from The Brian Jonestown Massacre and Steve Kilbey from The Church. A release is scheduled for sometime in 2009.
