The Concert Goer

About Me

Our Mission: To provide a forum for Concert Goers to express and share their Concert Experience. Why Did We Start This Website: While this website recently went up, the impetus to start this website began June 2003 while attending KROQ weenie Roast. I had an amazing concert experience, really enjoying the music. A couple of days later, L.A. reviewer blasted the show. It was as if we at two separate concerts. Since that day, Ive attended over 100 concerts, and am constantly amazed at what the critics write. I find myself cussing out these critics. So, I got the idea to post my experiences in a blog. After some more thought, I thought it would be cool to have a community who shares the passion of attending concerts, and shares their experiences with each other. What Makes Us Different One Word: YOU! Our entire site and vision is designed based on the individual Concert Goer. We want to know what YOU think, feel, and experience at the Concert. For us, a concert can be more than just a show; it becomes an Experience. Experience, by its very nature is individualized; nobody else at that concert had the exact experience you did. To have one person (the critic) given an authoritative account of the show discounts the element of The Experience we Concert Goers crave. POV: The Fan Our site is based from the point of view of Concert Goer. Many sites are from the music industry perspective. The best example that comes to mind is www.pollstar.com. Their site is fabulous, just from an industry perspective. Different Bands Our site contains experiences from many different bands concerts. There are many websites that are devoted to a specific Band Concert Reviews. U2 has a great site http://www.u2tours.com. Our focus is The Concert Experience, not the band.
