I am neither an optimist nor a pessimist, I am simply a realist. I don't see the glass as half full or half empty, I simply see a half a glass. Then I watch to see whether I am drinking from the glass or waiting for the bartender of life to add more to it.... I am not a pacifist nor do I believe in war. I will talk of peace and often turn the other cheek, but I'll never kneel to a war lord nor will I bend over for war, unless it is to show them what part of my anatomy is made for kissin.. I am from the Woodstock generation and believe to achieve results against war you must be a wee bit more on the radical side of being a dove.. I could never support a political war.. Or a war for oil.. I am very proud of my generation we stood for a lot things a achieved many great results.. Including abolishing the draft, lowering the voting age to 18, bringing our troops home from the last political war, and woman's lib (nothing wrong with a good bra burning party), We had laugh ins, love ins and sit ins and most of us wanted peace.. I am sad to note that a lot of my generation seem to have had two faces, by allowing things to happen now that they themselves would not have tolerated not that many years ago.. I am for preserving the Constitution, stopping the first (and last I hope) appointed president from changing one word of it.... Bitch slapping the School Board and giving the control back to the parents.... Stripping them of their "I can't teach because of this or that" crutches.. I mean really if a teacher can't teach because of what a kid is wearing or a cell phone, then what kind of teacher are they??? And strongly supporting the Separation of Church and State.. I am pro choice, I am not female so that decision is only one a woman can make.. The males job is to support her decision and never condemn. I support gay marriage, because marriage is a business and therefore a means of income for the state and the businessman.. Marriage is not a religious ceremony as it is done mostly for profit, both by the Church and the State.. As for in Gods eyes, forgive me if I'm wrong, but I thought God sees all.. If that is the case then any marriage would be in Gods eyes and not matter one iota if we liked it or not.. People should not hide behind religion to condemn what they don't like or understand.. I don't support the for your own good laws.. I feel a seatbelt or a helmet is my choice not the insurance companies or the states.. I don't like the government creating more criminals..
