They’ve known each other for donkeys years. Dave Jackson came to Germany in the 70..s, playing in various bands and writing songs, one of which was a hit song for Michael Jackson called “Blame it on the Boogie”. Guntmar Feuerstein was very active himself during the 80..s writing and producing his own brand of music, playing in bands and also landing in the German Hit Parade.
Both guys have been playing on and off for over 25 years in numerous bands and formations. From playing Rock-Top40-Country, to doing Stand up Comedy, they have covered the field in both live music and entertainment on the stage and in clubs, pubs and cabaret. Laid back or fast n.. furious, funny, ironic, and positively bursting with creativity and enthusiasm in what they play is part of their trademark. On stage Dave Jackson and Guntmar Feuerstein perform their music together with a double bass player Alexandra Krings and fiddler Sascha Loss.
L.BOW GREASE perform their catchy colourful songs with strong versatile vocals and a wide selection of acoustic instruments which give them a refreshing authentic sound. There’s something for every one, a variety of musical styles and instruments which include guitar, mandolin, fiddle, ukelele, banjo, blues harp and kazoo.
With their second album „Greased Lightning“ L.BOW GREASE easily bridge the gap between celtic and american folk as well as traditional music and modern pop. Supported by a string of skilled guest musicians out of the bluegrass and irish folk scene evolved a fascinating acoustic album. „Greased Lightning“ CD is packed full of hard driving bluegrass, sentimental love songs, ironic and witty music hall tunes and moving folk ballads – a variation of original songs which cover the whole spectrum of acoustic orientated music. Besides their own self penned material the old Rolling Stones hit Honky Tonk Women jumped on board to join L.BOW GREASE on their musical voyage.
Their third album "Let's call it Home" will be released in August 2009!
L.BOW GREASE go back to the roots and play their songs with ease and virtuosity along with strong vocals and a great sense of humour and fun.
