Producer Stephen Joseph started in music at an early age. His Dad was a drummer during the 60's and taught Steve to play drums, guitar and the basics of songwriting. Armed with these skills, Steve moved to Nashville to pursue music and conquer foreign lands. Music was made and the education of songwriting and music producing was underway. After some success, lots of great experience and a newly formed musical palette it was time to move the journey elsewhere.
Up next was New York City, where Steve further fine-tuned his musical skills. New York City offered many interesting projects including working with greats like with Grammy-winning engineer Frank Wolf (Randy Newman, Macy Gray and many more), composer Douglas Cuomo (Sex In the City) and producer Ben Yonas (Spencer Day, Shana Steele) to name a few. He also had the opportunity to work in world class studios throughout NYC such as, Sears Sound, Right Tracks, and the small but great Mercy Sound, while recording various projects.
Along with the experience in NYC he was able to complete several projects including but not limited to Erin Sax Seymour’s “Good Girl†(with a video featured on CMT’s “Fully Loadedâ€), Veronica Lasher (accomplished Nashville singer/ songwriter) and Danielle Braund’s No Tears (full record to be released December 27th). Steve has also had the great honor to utilize various high-profile studio musicians for projects including Dave Cook (N’SYNC, Shana Steele), Chris Tarry (John Scofield, Mino Cinelu) and others.
Steve’s journey has now taken him 4 hours from NYC to the Baltimore, MD area. He is excited to work with the great artists in the area and to further expand his career as a producer, arranger, mixer, player and songwriter.
