About Me

Okay, yes I still haven't updated but I did get a new job, so soon I will be focused on this. I can't believe my friend Siesh hasn't given me grief about my out of date page not that all that much that I wrote about before is different now. And of course....here is the old stuff..............Okay, so I don't normally dig talking about myself especially not in a public type place. Talking about interests and what I watch or listen to or whatever is fine but talking about me as a person - not so much. So I haven't had any time to pick or figure out a new topic other than myself so for now, it's going to be a VERY dull page kids.I will still say that, I love good friends, good laughs, good music, good movies, good parties, good drinks and Washington State.
Oh yeah and I have a thing for random trivia and quotes, books, music of course, and mystical/mythical things like tarot, runes, amulets, astrology both Chinese and the stuff we are all familiar with and finally Wicca (something I am just starting to read about) so feel free to send or post anything you like relating to anything - I'm always interested in other peoples opinions and new ideas!

My Interests

Well I covered some of that in the "About Me" portion. To add to that, meeting new people preferably who are just a little off and I don't mean that in a bad way. I'm generally not drawn to the "norm" whatever that may be this week. I like people who are unapologetically themselves.

I'd like to meet:

So many people.....well first I would say anyone with a good sense of humor, an appreciation of sarcasm who loves life (famous or not).....that being said I am only listing those that are currently living. Here are some names for you in no particular order;

Paul Newman, Shooter Jennings, Toby Rand, Tommy Lee, Stevie Nicks, Tom Petty, Storm Large, Van Morrison, Pink, Elmore Leonard, Sheryl Crow, Dana Andrews, Bob Dylan, Jimmy Buffett, Matthew McConaughey, Kate Hudson, Goldie Hawn, Joe Perry, Steven Tyler, John Krasinski, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Owen Wilson, Kid Rock, Vince Vaughn, Mark Wahlberg, Gretchen Wilson, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, Grace Slick, Harry Connick Jr. (who I kind of met once, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Lauren Bacall and Dolly Parton. I am sure there are many others but that is all I can think of right now.

Music:

I like all different kinds of music, it just depends on what mood I am in at the moment I love rock old, middle and classic, I love the singer/songwriter stuff, I like a lot of old country and some of the new stuff. I like pretty much anything except I'm not that into classical or rap - though some I do like. If I had to pick one genre it would probably be classic rock, The Who, Zeppelin, The Stones, The Doors, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd and in my way of thinking Aerosmith is up there too though they may have started a little later. And though some might not consider it "rock" (including me in some cases)Johnny Cash, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Fleetwood Mac, Van Morrison, The Eagles, Billy Joel, James Taylor, Sheryl Crow, Joni Mitchell and the still unforgettable Hank Williams are amazing to me because they have some fantastic lyrics and I love words that make me feel whether it be lyrics, poems, literature, etc....I just love any words that make me feel something. The bonus you get with music is it can make you feel by the sound of it or the lyrics or if you're lucky, both.

Movies:

It's a mood thing like music is for me. Do I want to laugh, be sad, appreciate something out of the norm? It all depends on what I feel like at that moment. I love "The Godfather" I also love "Dazed and Confused", "Get Shorty", "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof", "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang", "Breakfast at Tiffanys", "A Time To Kill", "Bandits", "Casino", "Cool Hand Luke", "Fast Times at Ridgemont High", "The Wedding Crashers", "The Graduate" and so on.....oh I love Hitchcock and those type of films -mind-thrillers I guess I would consider them. So I like a lot of different genres. Oh and and for those inevitable girly moments "Bridget Jones Diary" always makes me laugh.

Television:

Seriously do you really care? I am totally loving "The Office" these days. I didn't watch it previously and am now getting the DVD's so I can get caught up. I love "Greys Anatomy", "Hereos", "Desperate Housewives", "Dirt", "Lost", "How I Met Your Mother" and all the CSI's. I am looking forward to new episodes of "Entourage" and "Big Love" and the final episodes "The Sopranos" and "Deadwood" on HBO. That is all that comes to mind - thank God for Tivo!

Books:

Most anything by Elmore Leonard, Sandra Brown, Stuart Woods (except the Orchid Beach stuff), I like biographies if they are written or dictated or endorsed or whatever by the actual person they are about. I also like I guess what could be considered classics, stuff by Jane Austen, Sinclair Lewis, the Bronte sisters. One of my favorite books ever is "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee. I'll read most anything that sounds good except Science Fiction which never sounds good to me.

Heroes:

Like of the comic book kind? I didn't have any. In real life I don't know, I admire Goldie Hawn, Loretta Lynn and Lauren Bacall a lot. They are just people that seem comfortable with who they are and have a good time with it and I admire that.
