AND REGGAE MUSIC ARE MEETS IN 1995, THROUGH THE GREAT MESSAGE OF BOB MARLEY. FROM THAT MOMENT HE START TO PLAY AND MOVE DI STEPS ON THE REGGAE MOVMENT AND IN TO THE RASTA LIFE..... I MAN BELIEVE IN THE WORLD CITIZENSHIP AND THE RULE OF INTERNATIONAL MORALITY, THE MOST HIGH IS I GUIDE, ONE WORLD, ONE HEART, ONE GOD, PROSPERITY, MUSIC AND LOVE FOR ALL. From 1996 he has worked with Contatto Radio Popolare Network, a radio station, at first hosting a show called Hip Hop Zone, then managing the musical broadcasting and the relationships with the recording labels (1997-2003) www.contattoradio.it . In 2001-2002 he hosted another musical show together with Simone Lazzaroni every Friday from 10.30 p.m. to 11.30 p.m.(Showroom: Black,Elettro music, Downtempo and Jazz). From January 2002 till June 2004 he was the art director of Blue Port Music Atelier in Marina di Carrara, presenting artists as Eric Mingus, Montefiori Cocktail, Mondo Candido, Steve Grossman, Enrico Intra. On Saturday, the 7th of June 2003 he presented his fabourite 10 soul classics at Soul Sista, a Radio Deejay show. From September 2003 he is on air on Contatto Radio Popolare Network with The Vibe, every Saturday night (11.30 p.m- 0.30 a.m.) www.contattoradio.it/musica From December 2005 he taught djing for Regione Toscana and Efeso courses. In August 2004,2005 and 2006 he co-organized the 4-day-festival U.P. Urla Padula Festival with Contatto Radio www.uralpadula.it From January 2006 he works in Milan for SmcItalia for the promotional area of DefJam, Vp Records, TooDeep, Wayout Eventi, Rototom Sunsplash Festival. ----------------------DJ EKANZ moved his first step into djing at the age of 13, driven by passion for Hiphop culture. Immediately he developed love for vinyl and started collecting and searching for records in shops and street markets.Conscious of the fact that knowledge is fundamental, Ekanz began diggin’into the roots of hiphop, discovering Funk music, breaks and samples used by his favourite producers like Dj Premier, Evil Dee and many more. So he started a trip through the wide world of black music, from Jazz to Soul, from Disco to Electro ecc, when he discovered a particular feeling with Reggae music and Rastafari culture thanks to Bob Marley. The gesture of spinnin’records became a true passion, so Ekanz feel the necessity to get out of his bedroom just for share with the people the vibes that music gives to him. This journey through music still goes on, longing for experience, knowledge, and more tunes to play!
