About Me

Stewart Agnew is a singer-songwriter from Dundalk and has been building a strong following through his live performances over the last number of years. His last album, Songs from the Gasstation, was recorded in Toronto with the Ron Sexsmith band and featured Ron as guest vocalist on 2 of the songs, Gipsy Girl and I Give You Hope. Stewart has recently been supporting Mundy on his Irish Tour, Mick Flannery and Sharon Shannon. He has also just played support to Justin Townes Earle (Steve Earle) on his Irish Tour. In previous years he has also supported acts like Damien Dempsey, Duke Special, Beth Orton, Josh Ritter and many, many more. He has been on the road since early September with his full band performing songs from his forthcoming album. This February will see Stewart heading to London to record his new album with producer Paul Wilkinson who has produced Duke Special’s last 2 albums. Also this July sees Stewart holding down a residency in the Innisfree Guest House, Carrick Road, Dundalk, Co Louth for the whole month of July. This is an exclusive dinner party catering for 25 people running every Friday and Saturday night in an intimate setting. Stewart will be performing each night with Josh Johnston(piano) who has toured with Irish singer-songwriter Roesy for the last number of years.
