Multi instrumentalist Anni Hogan is a composer, songwriter, arranger, producer, promoter and DJ. In all these capacities she helped to shape the sound of the 80s. She was on the scene when Goth and the New Romantics began. As a DJ, her club nights at the ‘Phonographique’ “Amnesia†and the ‘Warehouse’ in Leeds and the ‘Batcave’ in London are legendary. Record Mirror published her weekly chart.
In a musical career spanning two decades she has worked with many successful artists in a variety of capacities. As a DJ she performed as guest for many artists including:

MARC ALMOND
Anni first met Marc Almond in Leeds in 1980 and spent the next nine years writing arranging and producing a number of albums with him as well as performing live all over the world, culminating with the no1 album “The Stars We Are†and no1 single “Something’s Gotten Hold Of My Heart†(with Gene Pitney) in 1988.
CACTUS RAIN
Anni formed Cactus Rain in 1989. She signed to Virgin records and released one acclaimed album “In Our Own Time†with three singles and accompanying videos and art direction by Jamie Reid.

ANNI AND CAGED BABY
Anni is currently working on her new album with her producer Tom Gandey aka Caged Baby. They hope to have it finished for release in Summer 09. Guest artists include Kid Congo Powers, Jennifer John, Siobhan Fahey, Thomas Lang, Jarboe and Kate Smith.
RECENT COLLABORATIONS:
Anni has contributed a track for Paul Jackson's album. She now has a regular writing project with Kate Smith and they have recently written songs for Alfred Azzetto and Luca Cassani. Mad Hatter records’ Carl Anians and Anni have just started work on a piano tech ep. Anni is also releasing a track with Paolo Big as Masterjuice.
COLD SPRING RECORDS
Anni is releasing Kickabye, a retrospective collection featuring her 1985 solo EP of the same name in March/April2009 on Cold Spring records Other artists included are Yello, Marc Almond, Barry Adamson, Foetus and Nick Cave. Anni is also releasing her new ambient piano album Cine Mountain on Cold Spring in May 2009. Cine Mountain is a collaboration between Anni, Gerry McNee, Robert Strachan and explorer and mountaineer Cathy O'Dowd. The album features special guest appearances by Jarboe and Simon Fisher Turner.
AEAEA
Anni is currently writing with Jarboe, Kris Force, The Parlour Trick and Julia Kent. This cross-Atlantic all woman album project is called AEAEA.
