Warrington Wolves and Rugby league, my fav bit of Rugby league is big hits, theres nothing better than seeing someone get clattered and being able to see it coming by some distance, check out below for examples..
People often say, 'never meet your hero's, you'll only be disapointed'. I've met two people who whilst i wouldn't call them heroes i've really admired and enjoyed their work, and i've been totally bummed out on both occasions. Nathan Wood, former Warrington RL player spent (half) the evening as a guest on our team at a quiz night with distinct body language eye balling the door. Git!Whereas i have a bit more sympathy with Rich Hallwho i managed to cadge a photo and a chat with, mainly due to the fact it was obvious he was trying to get himself a bit of clacker after a gig, and i was in the way. Still though, no need to be an awkward bugger!
Bands and stuff i like; Metallica, Rollins Band, Terrorvision(r.i.p.), Pitchshifter, NOFX, Me First and the GImme Gimme's, Gary Numan (bit of electronica)Weezer, The BLoodhound Gang, (early) Deftones, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson Rammstein,Very varied in the world of rock punk n metal, however there are zero new bands out there that i can say i like, heavy metal in the 2ks is dire.update for june 2007, after watching CLerks 2, i'm now glad to say i fucking love KING DIAMOND
I'm a big comedy fan, yet at the same time i really like vietnam and gangster films which is a bit weird. Platoon, Biloxi Blues, Apocalypse Now, Once upon a time in america, Goodfellas, Casino, Salems Lot (original TV movies)Usual Supsects, Chasing Amy, Jay and silent bob strike back,Sin City, Mall Rats, Clerks 1 and 2, Stigmata, Con Air, Bio-Dome (SQUIRRRELLY), Waynes world (1 not 2)The wedding singer, True ROmance, Bringing out the dead and one of the most under rated films i've ever seen, Enemy at the Gates, i'm surprised at how few people seem to know about this film.I do however detest the slew of slasher flicks that have some out in the decade following Scream, each one is more similar than the last with very little left to bring to the genre.
Dr Who, 24, Heroes, Star Trek The next generation, Battlestar Galactica(campy 80's version), The SImpsons, Futurama, Family Guy, Brainiac,Top Gear, Have i got news for you,Everybody loves raymond,Red Dwarf (before craig charles first court case)Father Ted,
Not a huge book person, but i do read RL autobiographies, stay away from Paul Newlove's though, its a load of tommy tank. Most are decent enough though, Dean sampson, Malcolm Reilly and Tawera Nikau are some of the best i've read, i've got MIke Gregory's book and for some reason can't bring myself to sit down and read it.I do like Terry Pratchett however and one of my favorites books of all time (sadly) is the carpet people, which is one of Pratchett's childrens range.
