Jeffrey S. Thompson was born in Riverside, California in 1972. At age 20 he began traveling and by the age of 24 had visited half the United States., Canada and parts of Mexico before finding himself homeless by unfortunate events. During the next decade Thompson was able to regain a hold on life even traveling again as far as the Philippines where he met his wife, all the while writing a series of short stories. A year after marriage, at the age of 31, his first novel 12,000 Miles was published and met with outstanding reviews. His work is truly as extraordinary as his life. He now resides in Houston, TX.
