It started out as a poem written by a dear friend of the band and then was reshaped into the masterpiece it is today courtesy of Calum and Shane-O. It was recorded at Sheffield Recording Studios with alot, alot, of help from Tony Jordana. Let us know what you think! Running To Stand Still's(formerly Saving St. Stans) origin is a bit too hectic to discuss here, but here is where they are today: There's a young, southern, pianist/guitarist/vocalist with a love for U2 and Audio Adrenaline named Shane "Shane-O-Mac". There's a bassist with a love for U2 and too many bands to list named Calum "CM Calumski". And who is that lurking in the shadows? Calumski's younger brother, a young man they simply call "Leon/Liam: Lord of the Drums". One fateful day they discussed combining their efforts to take on the world, and thus, a band was born. But what would they call themselves? Many a name was discussed, but finally out of the rubble of a church in Fells Point, Baltimore City (literally) grew the name "SAVE SAINT STANS". A few modifications later and they we're named "SAVING ST. STANS". After failing to actually "save saint stans" , they chose to rename their band "Running To Stand Still", in honor of a certain irish rock group, who just so happen to be an inspiration to all three members of the band. They are currently working on their first EP, due sometime in '09. The band records their music at Longfellow Studios and Sheffield Recording Studios.In early Fall of '08 Calum and Shane got to meet one of their musical idols, Tom Delonge, and told them about their musical endeavors. When Tom was asked about how he liked Running To Stand Still, Tom responded with this quote "I like Running To Stand Still." The band will never forget this moment...
