The Soul Truth

About Me

This band has performed Soul, Funk and R&B in venues from The Senate Caucus Room of the United States Senate, MCI(Verizon Center) for halftime entertainment for both our city's Washington Wizards and Mystics basketball teams. As well as Festivals, Nightclubs and countless other events and venues up and down the East Coast. When Mayfield isn't performing with The Soul Truth, he can often be seen Performing with other bands. In October 2001, Mayfield traveled to Tono, Japan for the American Music Festival as the bass guitarist with gospel group and composer Minister Melvin Bryant and Agape. He's also performed in Melbourne and Port Sea, Australia in the year 2000. Mayfield can also be seen at times performing with friends for local and national Charity events such as the Daniel Pearl memorial fund raiser. It's because of his versatility that Mayfield is a "man for all occasions." His passion for the stage and performance electrifies any occasion. Even a shift in venue doesn't stop the accolades. Wherever he sings this artists keep the crowd begging for more. Playing Bass, Drums, Guitar and Keyboards. Working original material. Making it do what it do!
