"I am the problem and the answer to the game, my talent has no boundaries."
Born in Colon, Panama and raised in South Carolina, Panama a.k.a. Mr. Palmetto started out in a group with close friends and they called themselves Niggas Fa Lyfe, NFL for short. Realizing shortly that everyone in his group was not as dedicated as he was in pursuing a musical career, he branched off and became a solo artist. Aside from his Panamanian culture, he is inspired artistically by the likes of Jay-Z, Nelly, Ludacris, Jadakiss, and Lil' Wayne. He is impressed with artists that not only settle as rappers, but have bettered themselves as entreprenuers. As a solo artist he has created an impressive resume thus far, performing as an opening act for well-known artists such as Rich Boy (at the McMahon Center in Lawton, OK), the Texas-bred Oak Cliff Assassins (at Club Alaby in Lawton, OK), and Lil' Wayne (at the Township Auditorium in Columbia, SC). From these performances Panama sparked a strong hunger for the spotlight and they intensified his love for music, for hip-hop. Panama loyally attended hip-hop open mic nights every Tuesday at The Palace (of Fayetteville, NC), sharpening his skills and preparing himself for the hip-hop game.
"Taking a chance on me is equivalent to James Naismith taking the chance to invent basketball, and you see the impact of that."
