J'ai débuté le projet Ootr durant ma première année aux Beaux Arts. Environ 6 mois après un impressionnant bad trip sous psychédélique j'ai commencé à travailler sur mes rêves et à faire de la musique sur ordinateur, je sous-louais à ce moment là , une chambre dans une maison de musiciens en très mauvais état mais avec beaucoup de charme.
Il y avait un ordinateur équipé de quelques logiciels et j'ai commencé à écrire "Seven reasons to walk" en apprenant à me servir de ces softs.
Un premier concert m'a été proposé à " Confluence Paris" par Thom le technicien son de l'école des Beaux Arts de Cergy alors que les titres n'était pas encore finis, j'ai invité Viryane Say (Bass) et Matias Castagne (guitar) à me rejoindre pour ce concert ainsi que Sayoko avec qui nous avons sorti à la suite de ce live une version chanté de "Oorgan pressure" sur le Label "Coal Gum" (qui est toujours disponible sur itunes) le titre s'appel "Me ta mo foze".
Un ep 7 titres devait voir le jour sur ce même label mais faute de distributeur correct le projet est finalement tombé à l'eau avec le temps. J'ai continué à travailler en collaborations avec la danse, performances et spectacles multimédia (compagnie Ludik, Petahertz).
Quelques titres du Ep ont été éditer par "Justement Music" et sont maintenant synchronisé régulièrement sur la chaine de télévision "Arte", me voici donc sur myspace pour vous les faire entendre.
I started the Ootr project during my first year studying fine art.
Approximately 6 months after an unforgettable bad psychedelic trip, I started working with my dreams and making music with a computer.
At the time I sublet a room in a house full of musicians, the house was in pretty bad condition but nonetheless had immense charm, it also had an ok computer enabling me to start writing Seven Reasons to Walk on it and also gave me the opportunity to learn how to use software.
I was asked to do my first concert at Paris Confluence by the sound technician at the Cergy school of Fine Art , when the pieces were'nt even finished.
I asked Viryane SAY and Matias CASTAGNE to play with me as well as Sayoko. The Coal Gum label boss (Julien Gandolfi) was at the show and immediately invited us to put out a version of "Oorgan Pressure" with Sayoko singing called "Me ta mo foze" (still available on I-Tunes ).
An EP of 7 titles should have seen the light of day on the same label, but due to a distribution problem the project was eventually left by the wayside.
I continued to work collaboratively in dance, performance and multi-media (Ludik and Petahertz companies). However several of the trax from the EP were taken on by Justement Music and are now regularily diffused on Arte (cultural TV channel) and so now I've put them on myspace to be found and enjoyed by you.
