Dj Jo Funk has been djing for around 8 years. Formally known as Dj Farah.
Started out in a country town called Bathurst.Where he djed at many venues and events and the most recent was The Oxford"s Medusa niteclub where he ran the venues entertainment as well as being the resident. Playing a variety of styles of music inc hip hop and rnb and hi nrg but soon enough developed the love for house music and which soon become electro.Playing different styles has made him the dj he is today, uplfting house a bit of hip hop with a taste of the old school flavour of hi nrg , sampling old snippets Jo Funk will keep you wanting more. Bathurst was good to him with over 1000 punters enjoying his music week in week out and was loved by many as there resident.Started djing in Sydney in 2005 djing at a few clubs and bars, he then entered a dj comp and won which gave him the opportunity to dj in Sydney more often.
With more work in Sydney it was time to say goodbye to Bathurst and give the city a taste of the country. Moving to Sydney in June 2007.He is Now djing at many venues across Sydney and in only a short time has achieved this.Now currently either a resident or djing guest spots @ THE ROXY, DRAGONFLY, SAPPHIRE SUITE, UN SYDNEY, COOGEE PALACE,GREENWOOD HOTEL,CARGO BAR, CABANA BAR,SOBAR, THE BOURBAN,CRUISE BAR,FROSBITES(NEWY),NORTH WOLLONGONG HOTEL, MEDUSA.Biggest achievment in 2007 in such a short time:Djing at the Big Day Out, V Festival, Daft Punk concert. Supported - SNEAKY SOUND SYSYEM, DIRTY SOUTH, DIRTY LAUNDRY, AJAX, FUNKTRUST, POXYMUSIC, ALEX K,AMBER SAVAGE,GOODWILL, DUKES OF WINSOR,VAN SHE and many more. Now teaming up with Dj CHARLIE BROWN to form the group THE FUNKY PUNKS (www.myspace.com/thefunkypunks) Jo Funk and Charlie Brown rocking the show with MC Daze and Lady Lauryn creating a uplifting atmosphere that will keep you dancin non stop mashin up all your favourite tunes with the mcs going crazy on the mic.
