IF I COULD CHANGE THE WORLD

About Me

Since most of you guys on my page already know me...I will just give you a quick update. I am officially a civilian now, and have just wrapped up an eight year career in the military. I am currently still working towards my Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. I should be graduating in September....and that will be awesome because this is one goal that I have been working towards for a long long time. I also am enrolled at a paralegal program at the University of San Diego. If you know much about me, then you know I have always thought about going to law school, and so I took this program to see if it is something I really want to try to do before I go 100,000 dollars in debt for a legal education. I am still debating....since I will be 30 next year, an MBA is looking real good about now, just because there is less time involved and just as much earning potential. I have been missing my little small town lately, and I would give anything for some fried fish, hushpuppies and sweet tea! So, thats the latest with me.....

My Interests

.. If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you, If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, or being lied about, don't deal in lies, or being hated, don't give way to hating, and yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise: If you can dream- and not make dreams your master; If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with triumph and disaster and treat those two imposters just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, and stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools: If you can make one heap fo all your winnings and risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, and lose, and start again, at your beginnings and never breathe a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew to serve your turn long after they are gone, and so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the will which says to them: 'Hold on!' If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, ' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch, if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you, If all men count with you, but none too much; If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds' worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son! -Rudyard Kipling

I'd like to meet:

You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' You must do the thing you think you cannot do.-Great minds discuss ideas; Average minds discuss events; Small minds discuss peopleDo what you feel in your heart to be right - for you'll be criticized anyway. You'll be damned if you do, and damned if you don't.Eleanor RooseveltView All Friends | View Blog | Add Comment
