I just moved to Houston and am so excited to start a new life here. I am done looking back! I work for a CPA firm and am about to start taking a review course to sit for the exam myself. I can't wait to see what God has in store for my life! I tried to do it my way for too long and it was a disaster...Im leaving it in his hands now.A person needs at intervals to separate from family and companions and go to new places. One must go without familiars in order to be open to influences, to change.The truth is that our finest moments are most likely to occur when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled. For it is only in such moments, propelled by our discomfort, that we are likely to step out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers.It's not so much that we're afraid of change or so in love with the old ways, but it's that place in between that we fear . . . . It's like being between trapezes. It's Linus when his blanket is in the dryer. There's nothing to hold on to.Nothing could be worse than the fear that one had given up too soon, and left one unexpended effort that might have saved the world.Expecting the world to treat you fairly because you are a good person is a little like expecting the bull not to attack you because you are a vegetarian.Never idealize others. They will never live up to your expectations.Life has a bright side and a dark side, for the world of relativity is composed of light and shadows. If you permit your thoughts to dwell on evil, you yourself will become ugly. Look only for the good in everything so you absorb the quality of beauty.
