MOURNING FOR TOMORROW (CD-Release 17.7.!!!)

Mourning For Tomorrow is a band from all over the Ruhr Area, province of Northrhine-Westphalia, Germany.
Starting as a four-piece band in 2001 and adding a guitarist in 2003, we went back to the original line-up in 2006. Anyway, here we are ...!
We combine destructively dissonant, melodic and metallic elements of hardcore/punk and subgenres to create a part raging part gloomy, thoughtful or even depressive hybrid that leaves you with an uneasy feeling.
To name a few bands that have influenced us in various ways: Neurosis, pg. 99, Botch, Isis, Neil Perry, Examination of the..., The Assistant...pretty much all the mid/end 90ies hadcore bands, the robotic empire/level-plane record collection (VA is a hole!!) and some darker stuff...etc...etc...you get the point.
Lyrically, we address various topics, be it directly or on a more abstract level. Among these are e.g.: social injustices, alienation in hostile systems of national boundaries, globalization and transnational movements, the media, any form of discrimmination against minorities, racism, educational issues etc. All in all, we believe that there have to be significant changes in far too many respects towards a sane world. Meaningful life is a treasure.
