Formed in March 2005, Delta Step consists of Daniel Bailey on guitar, Jason Delacour on bass, Cody Norris on the drums and Jesse Norris on vocals. The band played it’s first gig at a Freeza battle of the bands later in 2005 since then the band has played several gigs in and around their home town Sale writing and experimenting with various different styles of music such as progressive, hardcore, ambient/electronic and psychedelic. In late 2006 Delta Step headed to Studio 52 to record their first demo for the ‘kool skools’ program. The band recorded three tracks in two days, and made it onto the best of compilation out of over 130 other artists, as well as winning a special judges award at the awards ceremony. Lately the boys have been writing new material and preparing to record their next demo at the end of may..Now that we have finished recording, we regret to inform everyone that Delta Step as you know and love will be going on a 6 month hiatus because the band is relocating to the gold coast to continue what we have begun in gippsland. there will be new songs being released over this period so check out the myspace to keep up to date..
