The musical career of Carlos Palacio can be defined with two words: constancy and dedication.
First word it gives the measurement of its passion: Carlos Palacio believes in house music,believes in the public who enjoys this music, and has been his perseverance at the time of he’s playing, discovering new music and to offer it to the public which has made him gain the respect of the Spanish People.
Second, dedication, describes to its delivery and its passion, hobby turned in job that continues transmitting emotions because he is the first in to move with old and the new tracks that it passed through their suitcase.
Since 1999, Carlos Palacio enjoys a residence in one of the room from Florida135, club from Fraga(Spain) organizer of important events as Monegros Desert Festival, the well-known one like Boite. But before that, this zaragozano already had begun to move by the musical circuit, first like worker in store Stress Records, one of the best music stores of Saragossa, and point of
contact of many DJs and producers with which he could join immediate relation. Their mentors were Luis Sancho (DJ Positive), member of group DAB - Digital Analog Band, next to Pedro Andreu (Heroes del Silencio) - and David Perez (DJ Daddy), a well-known member of the Dual Concept and DJ of the zone of La Rioja. In that store was where Carlos discovered much of which today he knows, and got to be a fundamental piece of his operation, since he got to be
responsible for purchases.
But that is not everything. Also it has Carlos the knowledge to make and the intuition cream in any crazy person of music, and that is what that him it has taken to acquire a knowledge that, with time, has turned him everything an expert in the matter, in addition to a chameleon able to
adapt to the reclamations of the best tracks of dance. That capacity to absorb and to enjoy all type of music, generally within the channel of which it is his main passion, house, is the one that has made of Palacio a not at all purist DJ, able to move by different sub styles with elegance.
And for that reason its race since DJ has gone in ascent, because he has been able to move with the times without resigning to the classic ones.
In 1999, he initiated his long voyage like DJ in the pub the Night, known local by its exquisite selection of house music. Later it arrived to him the discotheque Los Sitios, with capacity for 600 people. But Saragossa never was sufficient for Carlos: shortly after, he started another residence in the room Scanner of Calamocha (Teruel). After one season in this premises of cult, he returns
to Saragossa to act in Image, the famous club within the local night in where it brightens up the nights with subtilities of deep house and vocal house, residence that arranges with the one of after La Naranja Mecánica, where their sessions would be progressing towards a more direct and much more forceful sound. In fact, at the moment said to after it is now Beat Parade, the famous premises by its very long evenings, where Carlos maintains a residence quarterly. In this club they have passed DJs of the stature of David Gausa, Ismael Rivas, Oscar de Rivera or Pablo Ceballos among others.
It is thanks to its professional walking like DJ when the opportunity arrives to him to work in the prestigious Florida135, club of the locality of Fraga, in Huesca(Spain). At the outset it was a vacancy for summery Saturdays in the Tropical room, and the Boite Sundays by the behind evening-night. The management of Florida135, conscious of the potential of Carlos and his
implication, later offered a fixed residence to him in the Boite a little later. It is here where Carlos is able to give a turn of 180º to the musical style of the room that exclusively passed to be the area of pop music/alternative rock to a zone of house within Florida135. The room continues maintaining its spirit underground, its proximity with people and their love towards the dance music, since still they are to stanch the scars of the most different evenings, than was created to
this end for the most anxious music lovers. At the moment, its sessions - that are made all Saturdays for more than seven hours are authentic chef d' oeuvre for the dance music. They have touches of elegance deep, with vocal sounds that wake up the most authentic garage. There is house of pure race next to surrounding and progressive sounds, interlaces with productions techhouse
of luxury. It has even found the opportunity to play new genre like electro house and minimal-house thanks to an initiative developed throughout the year 2005 that, under the name of Boite135, brought to play to the small room of Florida135 to some of the new talents of the european minimal house music, like Donnacha Costello, Phonique, Phil Kieran or Jaumëtic.
This one fan of sonorous possibilities has allowed Carlos to cross the peninsula of end to end, with performances in rooms like La Isla, Ãrea 7 y Level (Logroño), No Problem y Universal (Pamplona), Kitch (Zaragoza), Millenium (Girona), Circulo (Vitoria), Telephunken (La Coruña),Sala Occidental y Soho-Isla Mágica (Sevilla), Tito’s , Abraixas, Gallery Club (Mallorca) Moog, Ei Two (Barcelona), La Mina (Tarragona), Puzzle, Barraca y Spook (Valencia), Planet House (La Manga del Mar Menor, Murcia), Fanátika (Torrevieja),
Fluid (Murcia), Home (Madrid), Noctua y Noboo (Tudela Navarra), Festival Molina- Rock (Guadalajara), La House (Castellon)... Even also he’s been out from our frontiers in clubs as Stereo Club and Goa Odessa (Ukraine).
Also he’s selected by the brand “Ron Barceló†to make a tour with Junior Sanchez around of Spain who it’s taken him for cities as Seville and Santiago de Compostela. All this without mentioning its route in festivals of first order like mythical the Stress Sound Party in the House Terrace of the club named Minimal (Saragossa), the Point Sound Festival in Caspe (like head of poster next to John Acquaviva), and without forgetting its last successfully performances in the
consecrated Monegros Desert Festival in four last editions with a great acceptance on the part of the public.
At the moment he combines his residence at Florida 135 with other residence in Moma Club, a club with great importance into the clubbing scene in Zaragoza, through that they have passed artists such as David Penn, Eric Entrena, Pablo Ceballos and many more…Who always takes a musical line with in direction to all kind of styles into the house music.
There are not limits; the horizons do not finish for Carlos Palacio. An artist who is all an example of passion, perseverance and dedication to the music.
