music art people anything analog
Anyone nice really. I like things to be nice.
there's a big list, really, but it seems stupid, almost like justifying yourself by the music you like. this week i played 3 of my favourite lou reed songs: street hassle, the bells and coney island baby. these songs all have some beautifully sung, fragile romantic lines... love has gone away, took the ring from my finger.....for now i want to also mention lloyd cole frank black fad gadget and pere ubu (their show in utrecht last year was the best i had seen for years, from anybody. great album too.
Hormones have settled down now. So... Dr Caligari's Cabinet, the End of St Petersburg, Metropolis, but also Dead Man with Johnny Depp and the Man who fell to earth. it's probably a lousy film, but i love watching it anyway.
the band, yes! i like the odd movie, other than that tv sucks, literally. (you never wondered where your wit, imagination, sensitivity, good taste, intelligence went?!)
Well, yes, i did my share of reading and i have come accross some nice books. I like 19th and 20th century russian novels and poems, the lighter stuff preferably, Toergenjev is my favourite (but then there's plenty of writers i don't know! I also like Debbie Curtis' biography of Ian. It touches me. Ow yes, Anne Wehrer's and Iggy Pop's 'I need more'. That's it.
