About Me

I'm a singer-songwriter, producer and guitarist having abandoned proper work just over a year ago. Some time ago I started getting into producing other people's stuff in my home studio and the results turned out to be miles better than I could've expected, and everyone seemed very pleased with what I'd done. I was finding it impossible to find time to record everyone who was interested in working with me, let alone pursue my own music, so I took the plunge into artistic freedom and financial insecurity!I've been meeting some amazing musicians and songwriters some of whom I've already recorded, so you should check out my friends below, most of them play, and they are all an inspiration to me and a source of amazement that they haven't all got deals - yet...My rates for recording are very reasonable (far too cheap actually - I keep threatening to put my prices up but haven't just yet - get in quick!), I'm a complete perfectionist, my equipment is fantastic, and I love making people sound better than they ever have before. Get in touch, let's make something astonishing/ass-kicking/uplifting/heartbreakingly beautiful...Apologies for the ancientness of the tracks up here, I've been too busy and too perfectionist to get down anything of mine recently. If I ever get a spare few days, I'm going to post some of my new stuff up here assuming I can conquer my perfectionism sufficiently! The first track up here at the moment is from about three years ago (well before I got all my splendid new equipment), the second is a cover with a band I played in a few years ago, with me on lead guitar.I am also currently playing guitar in two bands - the Harrisburg Family Band, and Dan Akio's new band (see my friends below). I'm delighted to be playing with such talented songwriters and musicians, and hope you get chance to come and see us play sometime. I also play various things on the recordings I work on, including drum and percussion programming and string/orchestral arrangements. I'm versatile, original, and my life-long musical obsession covers pretty much any style you can think of, so I'm willing to try anything once (except incest and being born again). If you fancy a jam, or doing some recording, or just want a chat about music, get in touch.Cheers,Mark
