Cocktails and Nibbly things. Give me a schwanky lounge or hot new restaurant to sit in with some friends so that we can talk about things and laugh, and I'm totally in. My favorite places are the Ice House and Kona Grill, both of which have kick ass happy hours, Mon Ami Gabi, the Peppermill, and the newly discovered Ellis Island. Make no mistake, the Ellis Island is far from schwanky, but the food is amazing, cheap, and beers are a buck. My favorite topics of conversation are people with mullets, people with gunts, people with Members Only jackets...you get the point. If you're going to be my friend, you have to be able to see the humor in things like old ladies in clear heels that light up when you walk, or those men that think that we don't notice that it's a comb over.
I'd like to meet:
adopt your own virtual pet!If I were having dinner for 5, it would probably be myself, Kevin Smith, Seth MacFarlane, Quentin Tarentino, and Joss Wheadon. I am a big fan of all their work, because they can all take vulgarity and toilet humor and make it totally brilliant. If I could meet the men of my naughty dreams, they would probably be Collin Farrell, Ed Burns, Dane Cook, Ryan Reynolds, and Mark Wahlburg, oh and Franky G...DAMN he's big and sexy! Oh, and Maybe Jeremy Piven, but more so I could raid his closet.

Music:
powered by frazy.comThank god that music is taking a turn for the better. For awhile I was getting pretty tired of things, but everyone seemed to step up their game. Timbaland is the biggity bomb, anything he touches turns to gold. Like for instance, couldn't figure out why I liked that Ne-Yo "You make me better" song, oh yeah, it really is Tim doing the beat. Other than that, I am really impressed that Fall Out Boy has managed to release songs off of one CD for like a year and a half now. Nelly Furtado is my acoustic love, as well as my secret lover. I don't know why that woman just gives me naughty feelings. John Legend just keeps bringing it with his "I love you even though I cheat on you" genre, and I'm not over with him by a long shot. I also have to give a shout out to all of the country artists that are crossing over into mainstream, cause their stuff is really good, even though I don't know any of them well enough to name. And my FAVORITE song of the moment, might very well be this one called Diabla Roja by Rodrigo Y Gabriella. It's all acoustic guitar, but totally sexy and bad ass.
Movies:
powered by frazy.comI'm a major guy in that anything with explosions and a high body count will get me to a theatre. Bullet time photography and lasers can help alot too. But that's not to say that I'm totally vapid and devoid of any real cinematic appreciaton. Some of my favorite work is by Kevin Smith, author and director of "Clerks" although his favorite movie of mine is "Chasing Amy." Other favorites include The Count of Monte Cristo, The Sting, Rules of Attraction, Anchorman, and A Life Less Ordinary.

Television:
Family Guy is my alltime favorite, especially Brian. Other than that, my favorite shows at the moment are Project Runway, What Not to Wear, and Noah's Arc. Noah's Arc is a new show on the Logo network about 4 gay black men that live in LA. Thank god it exists because it's my new Sex and the City. I'm a major Sci-Fi nerd, which stems from my childhood spent as a trekkie, yes I'm a dork, you got a problem with that, you can suck it. One of my favs at the moment is Battlestar Galactica! It is sooo bad ass that actually, Kevin Smith was sitting in for Ebert on the film review show and said that season 2 was the one DVD you should buy. Kevin's a genius and he appreciates the goodness, so if you have a problem with the Battlestar goodness, you can suck it, bitches!
Books:
The last few books I read were DaVinci Code, Angels and Demons, and Hitchhikers Guide to the Galxy. I don't read nearly as much as I should, because I really love when I can find a good book to get into. My main problem is that I can't ever get started, it takes me like a week to make it through 50 pages, and then once I'm immersed, I'll go through 50 pages in a night.
Heroes:
Not to sound trite, but I think my mom is the only one who qualifies. She was a single mom, and even though I always had my aunt and grandparents who loved me and whom I love dearly, it was always my mom who was by my side through everything. She and I are still close to this day and it seems like the old axiom rings true, The older I get, the smarter my mom gets.
