Dates are December 14th, 15th & 16th 2007Meredith started in 1991 when 250 friends had a party in the bush. In 2006, it remains a party, but the crowd has increased to near 10,000. Located a couple of hours from the Melbourne CBD, the festival reflects the quality of the local scene, with a line up largely consisting of the bands that fill local venues on a weekly basis . From 1998 the festival has also included a number of internationals acts including Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Shins, Bonnie Prince Billy, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Sleater Kinney, Blackalicious, The Unicorns, M Ward, Billy Childish, Band Of Horses, Cornelius, Girl Talk, Kid Koala etc.We also hold a different event at the same site during March called Golden Plains. 2007 marked the first Golden Plains with a line up featuring !!!, Yo La Tengo, Fat Freddys Drop, The Presets, Gotye, Comets On Fire, The Bellrays, Slits, The Avalanches, Eddy Current Supression Ring etc.. more info at goldenplains.com.au .
