I was one in a family of eight children, born into the predominately Irish Catholic city of South Boston, Massachusetts. After graduating from a Catholic High school I was stationed at the US Navy Base at Key West Florida as a photographer. There I produced and directed training films for the Navy. I also got my first taste of acting while covering the making of the film, The Frogman; I was cast as a Naval Lieutenant on the refueling ship.Later I joined the Boston Police Department and worked many assignments including as a police photographer covering homicide, riots and public relations. We also produced our own training films.During the shoot of The Thomas Crown Affair as a bodyguard for Steve McQueen, I was a stand in for McQueen when his regular stand-in became ill.Joe Ravino and I implemented a stress program "Cops Helping Cops" hoping to stem the national tide of cops committing suicide. This program brought national and international attention to me. Because of this I was in demand for interviews with local and national newspapers, magazines and TV appearances for a period of about fifteen years. I was also in demand to speak at various conferences on Police Stress including the World Conference on Stress in Monaco with five Nobel Peace Prize winners in 1979.After retiring I moved to Florida and attended several colleges and private schools for acting, screenwriting, voice, scene study and film production. All this has led to my landing a national SAG commercial, local TV commercials, voice-overs, print work and roles in several independent films. I was featured as a Florida State Prison Guard leading Oscar winner Charlize Theron to her fate in the 2003 film Monster.Currently I am the Editor of In Focus Magazine, Florida’s Film, Television and the Arts Industry Magazine.I am a working SAG Actor commuting between Orlando and Boston where I have two homes. For complete resume go to http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1105025/
