About Me

So I guess it's time for an update I suppose. I am currently in Washington serving aboard the USS Henry M Jackson. The boat has been in the shipyards so I've had a bit of downtime, which has been nice. I've been staying busy playing on the HMJ soccer team. We actually went undefeated and won the championship. Since that season is over, I'm now playing with a few of the repair facility guys on an indoor soccer team. If I manage to find the time, I hope to play on the HMJ flag football and softball teams. Anything to keep me fit and active, especially with my daughter growing up as pretty as she has been...I have to keep the guys away. Other than that, work is good and I really enjoy being around the guys that I am surrounded by every day. They definately make the days better. I hope to start taking classes to complete my Masters Degree soon, the faster I do that the better it will be for my family. Hopefully when I'm finished up here, I'll make it back to the Academy for my shore tour...the wife is sure praying it works that way. She misses it. Speaking of missing...we miss our SC neighbors...we've been surrounded by psychos out here and it sure puts a damper on things. Bry and I are coming up on our two year anniversary and have learned just how much hard work it takes to build a successful family. We're excited for her to start her new job on Sept 6th and for life to become much easier for us. She's managed to grow us a garden in the middle of all the other things she juggles. I can't say how nice it is to have home grown vegetables. The kids love it and I love how it looks on our grocery bill ha. I have to admit it means a lot when she takes time out of her day to come watch me play sports and watches the kids so that I have the opportunity to do so. Moving on to Daeden...He'll be starting Kindergarten in the next few days and is excited to be riding the school bus. He had his first t-ball season and did really well. He was on of 3 top hitters on the team who always managed to get a hit. He starts an indoor soccer camp on about a week as well. I'm excited for him to learn things from someone other than myself and even more excited to be able to watch him play. He's grown up so much over the last year. Lily is 15 months old now and has grown a lot. Actually, a lot doesn't quite cover it. It's amazing to see how much she's developed. Even though she's all boy, she's definately a "daddy's girl". She plays with the soccer ball and we hope to enroll her in a "Mommy-n-me" soccer camp when she turns 18 months old. All in all, life is good. I'm going to keep truckin' on to see what lie ahead. I hope everyone is doing well and I send my love...

My Interests

Xbox 360, Nu-cu-lar power, and Sports. Too bad I'm reaching that, "has been" status all adults fear on the athletic gridiron, but at least I can pass my legacy on to my kids through coaching. Besides, coaching has been my dream anyway (and teaching). At least a coach doesn't have to meet the size criteria for playing a sport.

I'd like to meet:

My birth father. Don't get me wrong, my step-father has taught me an incredible deal and has turned out to be an incredible role model (once I got out of the damn house and went to college of course), but I'd be curious as to what my dad would have to say with how things have turned out for me.

Music:

Mainly rock with a little rap. My wife thinks I can be quite "gangsta" as far as my tastes go, but that's because we live in the "dirte sou" my dear and well, if it's on the radio...

Movies:

Benchwarmers has got to be an all time great. But I also love scary stuff like The Hills Have Eyes. Now that movie was awesome. Just about anything is good though.

Television:

Well we had to get the satellite. It's football season, do I dare say anything else?

Books:

It's been a while... but yes, I still hate most of the classics. Stuff like Lord of the Rings has sparked my interest, whatever genre that would be. However, my favorite series of all time are Ender's Game and every book associated with the original.

Heroes:

Damn. I'm not really sure. Everybody in the military who isn't a shitbag.
