------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------- Deyquan Bowens a.k.a. KILLAKEYZ started playing the piano at the young age of 9 learning his first song from his big cuz Sam Wynn (No Scrubs) by TLC. Between the ages of 9 and 11 he began experimenting with his casio keyboard which was a helping tool in his growth at the keys. When he was 12 he met HIRAM SWAIN a veteran (and a MONSTER ..s) the organist for his church who encouraged him to play for youth church so he can improve his skills. Deyquan thought to himself he doesn't know what I can really do i will show him. At 13 years old he was asked to play for a special program for the youth, this was his time to shine he created his own rendition of wade in the water by himself with the organ, bass, drums, and horns programed by Deyquan in his keyboard, the church and Swain went crazy from the unexpected talent Deyquan showed at the young age of 13. From then on Hiram encouraged me to take lessons to learn the theory of piano and to play along with him on Sunday. From 13 to 16 he took lessons for a short while but stopped because he lost an intrest in lessons. In July '06 at 17 he played as the head musician for his first church New Covenant for a year and a half later resigning in febuary '08 he also became a musician for Bellgrove in November '06. Curently he plays back at his home church Tucker.
